Dream It

Dream of an ocean view with ships sailing under the night sky. A planet is setting on the horizon, rings circling the massive gas giant. Two moons orbit around the celestial body; one eclipsed to a waning crescent whilst the other, more distant, is full. The planet and moon and stars reflect on the calm waters.

 The inspired work is the reflection of Andrew Banneck's art work "Snowbeat." I liked Banneck's simplicity for his art. I like the colorful silhouette design and how common and relatable the artwork is. My "Spring Fever" is the joyous and clandestine alternative to Banneck's winter with the coming of Spring.

  Learning to use the tool that earned the name as the "hardest tool to master" in Adobe Illustrator, the pen tool, was the only tool allotted for this assignment. Choosing the tool can most definitely be useful in the future.

Paint a Picture

Learning to use the paintbrush tool in Adobe Illustrator.

Painting a photograph was fun, but extracting the pictures original hues to make the image our own was a bit challenging when trying to convey the beginning photo.

Surreal Collage

Surreal art is the really imaginative art that always leads the eyes around and fascinates the mind. I was going to make a pop art collage for Digital Art class, but surreal; dream-like art, is a little more to my liking. The almost real is the key to making this fantastical art.
